Jammu & Kashmir’s Sub-Junior Yogasana Team Flagged Off for National Championship

The Jammu & Kashmir Sub-Junior Yogasana team was officially flagged off at Jammu Railway Station to participate in the 6th Sub-Junior National Yoga Asana Championship. The contingent comprises 22 talented sub-junior athletes, including both boys & girls, accompanied by three officials & four technical officials.

The flag-off ceremony was conducted by Ms. Divya, Vice President of the Jammu & Kashmir Yogasana Sports Association & Mr. Bilal Dar, Joint Secretary (Organisation) of the Association, who extended their best wishes to the athletes for a successful performance at the national level.

Prior to departure, the team successfully completed a 14-day residential coaching camp in Srinagar, aimed at enhancing technical skills, discipline & competitive readiness. The upcoming championship will be held at Dhru Global School, Sangamner, Maharashtra, from December 29, 2027 to January 2, 2028. The event is being organised by the Maharashtra Yoga Asana Sports Association under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India & the Indian Olympic Association.

The Jammu & Kashmir Yogasana Sports Association expressed sincere gratitude to the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council for its continued support & encouragement. The Association is confident that the young athletes will perform with excellence & bring laurels to the Union Territory.
